Fluorescence

I could tell that I was going to enjoy the set of poems given to me by Jennifer K. Dick after reading the poem that played with the various usages of beginning.  I love that style of word play and whenever I write poetry it seems to delve into that.

Her use of sound is beautiful, it flows marvelously throughout her work.  I think that her use of fluorescence is a an apt title for her work, it seemed that a good deal of her poetry had a strong vibrant element, through the lens of word choice, creation of sound and flow, and intensity of various lines.

Her type of poetry is certainly see myself emulating.  She has a very playful style of writing.  It is almost like she is making fun of the system of words and there is a certain sarcasm that I really enjoy.  In particular her Anatomy poem approaching the end of the page seemed very sardonic.  Overall I was very pleased with Jennifer K. Dick's work, and would like to look at some more of her work in the future.
